Introduction of the production

This media/film production company is named:
'Casting International Second Unit in creative and productional Audio-Visual* software support*'. (abbreviated: CISU, or Second Unit, or SU).
This means that the company is specialized in searching and finding of all kinds of film software image-content ingredients (compare with that what you see in a mirror:
software images that appear and disappear) for film-TV productions.
This happens by a large network of relations.

To search and find are: people (cast), animals, locations, Special Effects; materials like vehicles to drive, to navigate, to aviate, clothing, props, etc., etc.
All this is (for a certain time)to  hire, basically not to purchase.

In addition, the Second Unit trains and supplies crews and staffs; create (pre- and post-) produces videofilm services & products; and provides the necessary hardware,
such as cameras, light, sound, PC’s, etc.
The company has since 1990 till present the legal form of a sole proprietorship, and is prepared to transform in a Ltd.

The productions of Casting International are mostly:

  1. Videofilmproductions, and -services;
  2. Designs and realisations of videoclips Search&Find-engines on internet.

The production process

The company works according to the function doctrine {a function is a 'special effect', special form of functions organized within the logistics & production, the content, and deliveries;
all are special effects, part of the total (film)},
and as organized systems theoretically clicked together (multiple features make a system, multiple systems).

The over-arching view on production is the basic philosophy.

Within the production process there are 2 management levels:

  1. strategic management, and
  2. process management.

Ad. I):
The strategic management: owners -participants have the policy
to give direction to the tactical* management*
(staffs who think and act within the given direction) that directs the technical level (the concrete operational executives: the crew).
All these 3 management levels have prepared policy notes* and standardizations* for cooperation, drills & skills procedures, and subcontracting for our 'own' projects.

Ad. II):
All videofilm productions take place by process management.
CISU is a vertically integrated company.
Film-/TV-production processes are in generally very complex; but within the Holding So speak!... Ltd (see organogram) extra complicated because of the many extra services for the target groups and
customers that are built in (e.g. they can influence the quality of their advertising), and because of the many innovations and gadgets.
Every production process is performed by (crew) production teams, operationally managed by a project-coordinator and (the staff(s) of) Casting International.
All process steps are standardized in form.
The many standards are contained in various policy documents.
The total logistics are designed and prepared in such a way that it can be organized in an infrastructural digital KNOWLEDGE-network.

This consistently process management delivers logistical certainties, and is like a red thread in the corporate culture because of the continuity.

Making film-& TV-programs is work closely together with other organisations.
There are many different forms of partnership with other organizations (like NGO’s, GO’s and companies), with project coordinators (e.g. for RTPK-channel 1 (RECO) or RTPK-channel 2 (I.. R), or in the various formats and projects of the other 3 RTPK-channels.

The shootings

The company is during film-shootings often in contact with environmental legislations and has implemented a number of security measures through
the occupational health and safety policy document to meet these.
For example, –unlimited-: garbage is put out at prescribed times, in addition also re-used, there is a chemo box, and paper is as few as possible used,
as well there is ensured that proper disposal as waste is separated from other waste.

On the location-sets, there are rules and regulations that must be followed with regard to Special Effects {such as fire weapon shooting (in the film), noises, smoke, traffic disruption} and stunts.
